The Climate Wiki (in Dutch) was developed by scientists from Scientist Rebellion, Scientists for Future and Extinction Rebellion. The wiki is intended for educators, activists, the media and anyone else who wants to stay informed about current climate change. The wiki is based on sound scientific research, contains over 500 references to scientific publications and is updated weekly.

The Climate Wiki helps you quickly and effectively find background information on climate change and understand why action is urgently needed. The wiki shows that the warnings of impending destruction of the Earth have a solid scientific basis. Difficult scientific concepts are explained in the simplest possible way. You can refresh your memory about the processes involved in climate change, its causes and consequences. You will discover how all parts of the Earth System are interconnected, including humans. The wiki helps you respond to misunderstandings and misinformation.
You can copy pieces from the wiki and paste them into PowerPoint presentations, print them on posters or cheat sheets. This allows you to prepare for conversations, lectures and interviews, or explain why you are taking action. We appreciate it if you cite the SR Climate Wiki as your source.
A mnemonic to help structure your communication1 could be:
- It’s real.
- It’s us.
- It’s serious.
- The science is clear.
- There is hope.2
